PALS Islandora add a collection

Add a new collection or subcollection

To create a new collection or subcollection, log in to Islandora

From the Resource Management menu, click on Create a New Collection.

In the collection ingest form, enter:

Title

Collection description (not required)

Upload a collection icon. Using file formats .png, .jpeg, or .gif. A square format works best.

In the Parents' collection field, enter the collection or subcollection under which the new collection will display. If kept empty, the collection will appear on the home page.

Islandora sorts collections alphabetically by default. If you want to display collections in a different order, enter a Ranking number.
