PALS Ingest Pictures to Islandora 2

Ingesting Pictures

Notes
Ingesting pictures requires the following formats JPG, JP2, or TIFF.
  1. Open the ingest form after logging into Islandora.
  2. Expand the System subject area.
  3. Model select Image.
  4. Fill in the remainder of the ingest form.
  5. Click Save at the bottom of the screen.
    1.  A page with the metadata for the object opens.
  6. Click on the Media tab.
  7. Click the +Add Media button.
  8. Choose the Image option from the list when uploading a JPG file.
    1. Choose File when uploading a JP2 or  a TIFF file.
  9. The Name (i.e., the object's title) will be filled in for you. 
  10. From the Image field, Choose File and navigate to the picture.
  11. Wait for the picture to upload.
  12. Enter an Alternative text for accessibility purposes. 
  13. In the Media Use field, keep the Original File option selected.
  14. Do not change the Media Of field, this is how Islandora ties the picture to the title.
  15. Click the Save button at the bottom of the screen.
