Does a patron record need to have resource sharing library?

Patron Record and Resource Sharing library

Only Institutions that have multiple libraries should have a resource sharing library in their patron record.

An example of an institution, whose patrons should have a resource sharing library in their patron record is St Mary’s University.
Their patrons need to have a resource sharing library of St Mary’s Winona or St Mary’s Twin Cities in their patron record. This allows the patron’s request to be handled by the correct library.

For institutions with multiple libraries a job will be run to assign the correct resource sharing library to their patron record.

For institutions with only one library the patron does not need to have a value in the “Resource sharing library” field.
