Options for Suppressing a Collection

Please remember that these recommendations are general guidelines. You need to evaluate each collection as you work with it.

Database type:

  1.       Suppress the collection's bibliographic record in Alma
  2.       Suppress the CDI records in two ways:
    1. Option A: Set the CDI search activation status to Not Active / Deactivate for search in CDI. Then, suppress the collection-level bibliographic record.
    2. Option B: Remove "CDI-only full text activation" if enabled
    3. Option C: Suppress the Alma records, but keep the CDI records:
      1. Add CDI-only full text activation: to the collection if possible. Then, suppress the collection-level bibliographic record.

Aggregator and Selective type:

    3.  Deactivating individual portfolios will remove the service link from Primo
    4.  If you really do not want the collection, you should delete it
  3.  If there are no CDI records, utilize "Do not show as full Text available in CDI even if active in Alma" setting
  4.  If there are CDI records, suppress them in this way:
    1. If you have no portfolios or a service: Set the CDI search activation status to Not Active / Deactivate for search in CDI
    2. OR If you have portfolios and  a service:
      1.   Set the CDI search activation status to Not Active / Deactivate for search in CDI
      2.  Check “Do not show as full-text available in CDI even if active in Alma”
      3.   AND If you only want to show records for activated portfolios: choose “Yes” for “We subscribe to only some titles in this collection”
