Minnesota State Pressbooks
Minnesota State Pressbooks site:
Minnesota State has an enterprise level education account with Pressbooks.
- Limited to 30 new books a year, participation is reserved for Minnesota State faculty/staff who take advantage of the PressbooksEDU interactive features, with priority given to OER projects.
- For an additional cost, individual institutions are able to opt-in for unlimited book creation, as of January 2025, the following institutions have done so:
- Minnesota State University Mankato
- Minnesota State University Moorhead
PressbooksEDU's interactive features are used to make OER that more engaging and accessible for students.
- H5P (interactive learning content - quizzes, timelines, accordion, image juxtaposition, etc.
- Hypothesis (social web annotation)
- Increased accessibility options
- MathJax
- TablePress
- Additional analytics options
If you are just starting out or do not intend to use the interactive features, we recommend creating a basic pressbooks account using Minitex's Minnesota Libraries Publishing Project (MLPP)
. MLPP is free and open to everyone in Minnesota.
To request a PressbooksEDU account, Minnesota State faculty and staff fill out the interest form.
Note: if you only want a test account to try the additional features,
use the form to indicate that.
