11/8/2024
- Concordia University, St. Paul- Migration complete!
- Bethany Lutheran College- Finishing up configuration and getting ready for a small test load
- College of St. Scholastica- Working on configurations on the test site
- Luther College- Simon is working on the website theming
- Minnesota State Mankato- PALS is working on website-themed tweaks and organizational work to prepare for January work
Anticipated in spring:
- Migration of Minnesota State Mankato, followed by Augsburg University
10/01/2024
- Concordia University, St. Paul migration of object continues.
- Bethany Lutheran College ready for a limited number of objects for a test load.
- College of St. Scholastica started on metadata mapping.
- Luther College theming work to begin the middle of October.
09/12/2024
- Concordia University, St. Paul starts migration Tuesday September 17, 2024.
- MSU, Mankato first website draft complete, under review.
- Bethany Lutheran College work continues on setting up test site.
- College of St. Scholastica, website theming complete. Configuration and metadata mapping to start the end of September.
08/19/2024
- Concordia University, St, Paul test migration of a selected group of resources this week
- Implementation of Mirador viewer, accessibility friendly
- Work underway on MSU, Mankato theming
- Began metadata mapping spreadsheet for Bethany Lutheran College
4/30/2024
- Southwestern Minnesota State University all objects and metadata was loaded to the staging site. Site is currently in review and last minutes tweaks.
4/25/2024
- Current focus is loading metadata and objects to Southwest Minnesota State University staging site.
- Completed a ingest training session to ingest to the paired down Opendora site.
4/09/2024
- Creating metadata sheet for loading content to Southwest Minnesota State University staging site
- Working on getting a copy of the Opendora site ready to display one special collection. Note that the main Opendora site will not migrate yet.
3/19/2024
- Southwest Minnesota State University site is moving to the staging site.
- Concordia University theming is done, next up metadata mapping.
- Contacted the next two sites to begin work.
03/06/2024
- First successful load of a newspaper.
- Continued work on Concordia's University theming and metadata
2/27/2024
- Northwestern Health Science University went live on 2/26/2024, Congratulations! https://islandora.nwhealth.edu/
- Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College also went live on 2/26/2024. A new site, they will populate Islandora with objects over time.
- Began theming and metadata work on Concordia University's site.
- Continue mapping metadata and creating ingest form on Southwest Minnesota State University.
1/30/2024
- The week focused on moving metadata and objects from Islandora 7 to Islandora 2. All of Northwestern Health Sciences objects moved successfully to Islandora 2.
1/23/2024
- Loading of objects begun for Northwestern Health Sciences University. This week we are loading Paged Content (Yearbooks).
- First meeting with Pam at Southwest Minnesota State University. Theming is done, now the work on mapping I7 ingest forms to MODS to Drupal fields begins.
- Concordia University is up next.
1/3/2024
- Northwestern Health Sciences University Islandora 7 in freeze. PALS team working on creating Metadata Sheets for loading metadata and objects to staging site.
- Fond du Lac Tribal & Community College staging site provisioned. The site is ready for the user to load objects.
- Southwest Minnesota State University, test site provisioned. Ready for the theming review.
12/12/2023
- The Islandora Community updated how objects display in Islandora 2. Due to a theming conflict with Northwestern Health Sciences the update caused the objects not to display. Simon updated the code, objects now display, still working on displaying thumbnails.
- A new release will be deployed on Islandora 2 sites December 13 & 14. Starting with staging sites, after testing the release will be deployed to production sites. No downtime is expected.
- First test migration of paged content on Northwestern Health Sciences test site. The migration spreadsheet needs further tweaks for a fully successful migration.
12/05/2023
- Finalizing work on Fond du Lac Tribal & Community College.
- Completed work on setting up a broader/narrower term taxonomy for Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College.
- Meeting with Northwest Health Sciences to talk metadata and ingest form.
11/21/23
- Continued work on setting up Fond du Lac Tribal & Community College, finalizing site design, and creating taxonomies.
- Complete upgrade from Drupal 9 to Drupal 10 on all development and production sites.
4/15 of our sites are live on Islandora 2
Lessons Learned:
- Need handle.net set up before go-live, if using
- Weekly updates were too frequent- lots of functionality broken. Moved to monthly updates.
- Metadata is particularly tricky from 7 to 2
