MnPALS coping rules from NZ to IZ

Coping Rules from the Network Zone to the Institution Zone

Several normalization, merge and indication rules are managed from the Network Zone. These rules can be used in Institution Zones by coping the to your Institution Zone.


1. Check placement of records and rules

  1. From the Resources menu option choose the Metadata Editor.
  2. From the New dropdown menu choose Placement Options. 
  3. Placement of new records and templates as well as, Placement of new rules select Local.
  4. Click Save.

2. Retrieving the rule via the Metadata Editor

  1. From the Resources menu option choose the Metadata Editor.
  2. Select the Rules tab.
  3. Select the type of rule, Normalization, Merge, Brief or Indication.
  4. Expand the Shared Folder
  5. Find the rule to copy, associated with the NZ house icon.
  6. Right click on the rule title and choose duplicate.
  7. In the pop-up window, change the name, description if you whish.
  8. Click Save.
Now the rule is associated with the Institution Zone, house icon.
