Alma Error: PO line creation failed.

Alma Error: "PO line creation failed."

Sometimes when creating a POL, you may receive the following error: 

Warning
"PO line creation failed. Please contact your system administrator." 

Some other Ex Libris customers have published cases with this symptom. The causes listed in these cases include: 

  1. Newly created templates 
  2. Connection issues 
  3. There is something corrupt in a template 
  4. User account permissions 
  5. Selecting a template created for a different purchase type/material type  
  6. Browser cache issues 

Most of the time, if the issue persists and ties to the template, Ex Libris recommends creating a new template (with the correct values). Sometimes the problem resolves itself after a day or two with no intervention. Please contact PALS if you need assistance figuring out the root problem.
