Adding local Aggregator or Selective Package collections

Why you might need or want to do this: 

  1. You need to add a local collection because the collection does not exist in the CZ. 
  2. You need to add a local collection to store portfolios for Course Reserves. 

How to do this: 

  1. Open the Resources menu. 
  2. Select "Add Local Electronic collection." 
  3. Alma will open the Electronic Collection Editor. Fill in the information. Screenshot of the electronic collection editor and the save and continue button
  4. Click "Save and Continue" 
  5. Alma will open the Electronic Service Editor if you choose the collection type of Aggregator Package or Selective Package. There will be a pop-up confirmation message that Alma created the collection successfully. Screenshot showing the pop-up box confirming collection creation.
  6. Edit the Activation tab as needed. Screenshot of the activation box with options to edit availability, activation date, and service messages.

  8. Edit any of the other tabs as needed (Service Description and Notes). Click "Save" when done.

  10. Click "Cancel" if you do not make any further changes. Click "Save" if you make changes to the collection record.
